Roam West, a new concept and ownership for the former Inchree and Four Seasons Pub and Restaurant. We are now custodians of this long standing family business Inchree, Onich. Roam West brings together a team of experienced outdoor adventure professionals and hospitality experts to make your stay unbeatable.

Our comfortable lodge caters for travellers, adventurers, outdoor lovers and passers-by. Our team is able to offer an insight into the very best the local area has to offer from wild swim spots, paddleboard paradise and mountain walks. And we offer our very own Roam West adventures available from our doorstep and led by our extremely experienced adventure guides and trainers.

Our in-house chef has developed our menu to feature freshly prepared, locally sourced ingredients. Hearty, wholesome and nourishing food, to fuel your adventure in served in our traditional on-site Scottish restaurant and bar.

Ben Longhurst - Co-Founder

Having spent over 30 years working in outdoor adventure, Ben loves nothing more than introducing people to the wonders of surfing, canoeing, climbing and stand up paddleboarding. Having spent a decade managing a large international white water park and adventure centre in Wales’ capital, a new challenge beckoned. With a passion for adventuring in Scotland, Ben is still an active SUP expedition guide, trainer for the Water Skills Academy, swimmer, paddler, skier and climber.

Jon Kivell Co-Founder Roam West

Jon Kivell - Co-Founder

Jon’s love of the outdoors has brought him to Scotland. Inspired at a young age by instructors working at Trefil Outdoor Activity Centre in South Wales, he joined The 2nd Battalion The Parachute Regiment, where he served on operational tours around the world. Upon leaving, he became Head Of Centre for Parc Bryn Bach. With a career spanning 22 years, Jon has coached, guided and led expeditions all over the world. He is a qualified instructor in paddleboarding, climbing, mountaineering, caving, MTB , rafting and is also an Air Experience Tandem Paragliding Instructor.

After several years as a tourist, Chef Nathan Salter finally moved to Scotland in 2022 with his family from Seattle Washington State. He began his culinary Career in 1997 after attending school for classical French cooking and fine arts. Chef Nathan honed his craft by working with some of the best chefs in the region, from small family-owned restaurants and pubs to 5-star hotels. He also spent several years owning and operating his own family's bistro with his partner. Throughout his career, he has had the opportunity to cook for and with several Top Chefs in the industry and several big names, from the Temptations and the four Tops to Snoop Dog. Presidents, an Arabian Prince and more. 

Chef Nathan draws inspiration from all his years of experience travelling around the world and his environment.

Daniel McCann Chef Roam West

Daniel McCann - Sous Chef

Daniel McCann, grew up in Liverpool starting his cooking career 13 years ago working and gaining culinary experience cooking in popular restaurants and bistros around a busy city.

After acquiring enough knowledge, he travelled around the UK cooking at Sporting events including Goodwood Fast Car Festival and The Royal Golf Open. After this he moved to Yorkshire for a number of years fine tuning his skills and ran busy 5– star hotel restaurants before settling in Glencoe.

Throughout his Career he has had the opportunity to gain experience from top chefs like Tom Kerridge and furthered his career by working at a Michelin Star Restaurant in Oban.

Daniel likes to bring colour and vibrance both in taste and the use of fresh ingredients to give excitement to guests pallets combined with good quality home cooking.
